About Marla
I’m Marla, originally from Indonesia,grew up and lived in Singapore before moving to China in 2009. I spent the first six years in China completing my degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, followed by a postgraduate in TCM Orthopedic, and during the course of my studies I found yoga as a great companion. Yoga to me is a way to reconnect with my inner self,to reconnect with my body,bringing her back to neutral state of serenity, and to release even the tiniest bit of emotion subconsciously hidden away within the complexity of the human body. Through guiding and assisting others on the yoga mat, my hope for students is to find joy as they earnestly reconnect ,communicate and open themselves up to their own self. For the next month At drishti, I’ll be teaching vinyasa, focusing on moving slowly and transitioning with engagement, at the same time building a strong core foundation for stability and safe practice.
