The bandhas play an important role in directing energy both physically and energetically. It also helps to reduce the waste matter in our body by directing the agni (the force of fire element) to exact place where the rubbish has settled and is blocking the flow of energy in our body. The word bandha means “lock, or to close.” When we apply a bandha in yoga practice, we lock certain areas of the torso in a particular way.
Through this workshop you will learn what are the bandha techniques including Jalandhara Bandha, Uddiyana bandha, Moola bandha and the relationship between bandhas and asanas.
About Chantal
I found my way into yoga in 2011 as a way to reduce the stress from working and providing services in the medical field. Yoga not just reshaped my body but also bit by bit, clam and clarify my mind and eventually my entire life because it shines a way to live in peace. After 7 years of practice I finally started teaching since I am always interested in the possibilities of sharing the many benefits of yoga and how does it help me through the stressful past. I believe anyone who’s willing to practice with me will co-create their experience on their mat by listening to what their body, mind and heart is calling for and then answering that call. My hope is that you’ll leave my class learned how to listen to your body and inspired to live wholeheartedly.
