About Jeanne, RYT 500
Raised in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan and the steppes of Kazakhstan with respect to animals and awareness of nature, through competitive ballroom dancing and geopolitical studies in Russia Jeanne found her Dharma, her life purpose, in yoga. She completed her first training under the guidance of Rajeev, the founder of Drishti Vinyasa Yoga Shala and an experienced yoga teacher. After a year of dedicated practice and teaching Jeanne sought a deeper understanding of yoga in India, studying the tradition and philosophy of Ashtanga yoga with an internationally recognised Yogi Kamal Singh.
Jeanne believes that yoga is a mirror in which practitioners can see their true selves and build the strength to face the reality. Yoga is a journey within, it is a practice that is not limited by the edges of your mat or the walls of the shala. Yoga goes far beyond and stays with you throughout your whole life.
Jeanne teaches gentle slow flow and energising vinyasa classes with focus on alignment, breath and mindfulness. Jeanne leads Ashtanga Primary series concentrating on oneness of breath and movement, introducing the art of adjustment and approaching each class with an anatomical focus, helping students to improve and deepen their practice.
