About Yijun
I was following two dance teachers to their folk-dance class and ballet class for few years. I knew that they were also teaching yoga after dance class. But for the first few years, I would just go home after dance class. I thought it was not fun because there was no music and students stay in one posture for a long time. Until one day, I was asked to give it a try since my body was “stretched out” during dance class. It turns out that I actually liked it. I then kept on this yoga journey. I was certified since 2014 and followed several amazing teachers in Shanghai and New York. I learned the logic behind sequencing from Rajeev at Drishti, including philosophy, history and anatomy. That was an eye-opening experience. I have a good self-practice. It is important to keep a good self-practice because you could share your practice experience with students. Some are important skills to enhance the practice to a different level. Some are tips to prevent from injuries. And I love back bend.
