This 50 hours training is an advanced vinyasa training based on the philosophy of hatha yoga. As hatha Yoga emphasises continuing growth and evolution by practicing asana, pranayama, mudras and bandhas, so does this training. The purpose of this course is to attract those who have a serious approach towards their practice and have a hunger to take their practice and understanding to the next level. This course is designed as an intensive immersion into a balanced yoga practice at an advanced level; this course requires students to be willing to explore their own mental and physical abilities and limitations.
The practice part is the sequence of 100 vinyasa based postures, combined with mudras and bandhas which allow the practitioners to find the breath, activate the energy and awaken the hidden potential to break through the mental cages. Standing series, arm balancing series and back bend series are the main points to focus on during the practice to develop strength, endurance and awaken the energy.
Pranayama is the second part which consists of pranayama, advance mudras, advance bandhas and Kumbhaka, or retention of the breath. The pranayama content is selected from the traditional hatha yoga philosophy to enhance the practice experience, as it says, asanas and pranayama can only awaken the energy but it is only through mudras and bandhas that the practitioner learns to channelise energy in a single direction. Physical and spiritual experiences are meant to happen if practice is done properly.
Philosophy is the third important aspect of the training, because without knowing the purpose the knowledge has no meaning. Ashtanga yoga, or eight limbs of Patanjali, are studied to know the systematic process of how yoga is not only limited to the physical postures. Having mastered the body, there’s so much more to understand. The theory of pranayama, advance mudras, and bandhas will be studied in detail, as well as, the concept of panchakosha or the yogic approach of the human anatomy. The most unique and most accepted philosophy, the Patanjali sutras, are also important topics to be covered in philosophy. Patanjali sutras cover such vast topics; therefore, only the most important sutras have been selected.
